This
course is designed to assist foreign students in preparing to
participate in a hospitality and travel business atmosphere in
which the English language is an important means of
communication. The goal of the course is to provide language
practice based upon readings and discussions which are pertinent
to the hospitality and tourism industries. This will form the
basis for activities in text analysis, classification, writing,
oral and electronic communication, and the development and use
of vocabulary. Included in the course are high-interest,
interactive situations based upon actual business applications
and internships at local nearby hotels.
